Under 5 Minutes
Look, here's the thing. We were just a bunch of foil addicts who got tired of watching our motor pods wobble like a drunk uncle at a braai. So we did what any reasonable person would do — we locked ourselves in a garage with a 3D printer and an unhealthy amount of caffeine.
"The first prototype held together with hope and cable ties. The second one actually worked."
DragonFlight isn't about selling you stuff. It's about making sure the stuff you already own doesn't let you down when you're 2km offshore and the swell is pumping. We're riders first, engineers second, and businesspeople... well, we're working on it.

Every part is designed, printed, tested, and sworn at in our workshop. No outsourcing. No middlemen. Just us and the printer going brrrrr at 3am.
* the neighbours love us
We don't test in labs. We test in salt water, wind, and the kind of conditions that make your insurance company nervous. If it survives us, it'll survive you.
* we've lost count of the prototypes
We use our own products every session. If something annoys us on the water, we fix it before dinner. That's the advantage of being both the customer and the factory.
* dinner is usually late
We don't just make accessories. We make the bits that make you fly.
(the bloke who built it, tested it, and still rides it every session)

"As an intermediate rider, I honestly didn't expect to feel much difference. I was dead wrong. The reentry is butter-smooth. The pod's profile is so slim that the water barely knows it's there — less catch, less drag, just a clean slide back in every time.
And the TPU — that's the secret weapon nobody talks about. Where harder materials transmit every vibration straight up the mast and into your feet, the TPU absorbs it. Less buzz, less fatigue, more time on the water. It's like going from a wooden skateboard to proper bushings. You don't realise what you were missing until you feel the difference."
"I built this thing because I was tired of watching my motor wobble around on zip ties and prayers. Fourteen prototypes later, I can honestly say — it's the smoothest, cleanest motor mount I've ever ridden. And I'm not just saying that because I made it. Okay, maybe a little bit because I made it."
* Yes, the founder reviewing his own product is peak garage energy. But when you've tested 14 prototypes in the ocean, you've earned the right.

(where the magic — and the swearing — happens)
CAD modelling at 2am, fuelled by rooibos and stubbornness. Every millimetre matters when you're fighting drag.
* we've restarted from scratch 14 times
TPU and ABS, layer by layer. Our printer has more hours on it than most Uber drivers. It doesn't complain though.
* it does make weird noises
Into the ocean. If it wobbles, it goes back to the drawing board. If it holds, we celebrate with a beer. Then test again.
* mostly just the beer part
Packed with care, shipped with love, and a little note that says 'go fly, you magnificent human.'
* actual note may vary

(from caveman to clean machine)
Not all motor mounts are created equal. Here's how the industry evolved — and why we skipped straight to the end.
Bulky clamp-on pods that wrap around the mast. Massive frontal area, huge drag, and they look like someone strapped a lunch box to your foil.
Cheap to buy, expensive in drag
Motor buried inside a custom mast. Cleaner profile, but you're locked into one brand and one mast — forever. Hope you like your choice.
New mast + proprietary motor system
Slim TPU pod that hugs your existing mast. 6.3% coverage, universal fit, installs in 5 minutes. Keep your mast, keep your money, lose the drag.
Works with any mast you already own
Your mast was designed by engineers who spent years optimizing its profile. We respect that. Our mount doesn't modify, drill, or reshape anything. It just sits there. Quietly. Doing its job.
In aerospace, the best solution changes the least. Our 50mm contact footprint is the absolute minimum needed to hold a motor pod. Everything else stays factory-original.
Integrated masts lock you into one brand. Our mount works with Armstrong, Axis, Lift, Slingshot, Naish — anything with a mast. Switch brands? Keep your mount. That's the whole point.
"Why spend $3,000 on a new mast when $200 does the job better?"

South Africa: 3-5 business days. International: 7-14 business days. We print to order, so each piece is fresh off the printer, just for you. Like a personalised braai pack, but for your foil.
If it doesn't fit, something's gone wrong and we want to know about it. Email us at [email protected] and we'll make it right. We're not a faceless corporation — we're actual humans who care about your setup.
Because cable ties flex with impact instead of cracking. They're replaceable in seconds. And honestly, they just work better. We tested both. Extensively. The cable ties won. Every. Single. Time.
